THE DEBUT SHORT FILM FROM BOBBY COLEMAN

In a post-apocalyptic Southern California ravaged by nuclear war, Oakley ekes out a living in an old dilapidated bathroom, trading music stored on memory cards for food and essential supplies. His dreams are focused on escaping the wasteland and reuniting with Kate, the love he was forced to leave behind. When his middleman arrives with news of a potentially life-changing deal, Oakley feels a surge of hope for a better future and embarks on a journey that reveals a world far darker than he had forseen.

This tense, character-driven narrative explores themes of survival and the lengths one will go to reclaim lost love in a world forever altered.

THE DEBUT FEATURE SCRIPT BY BOBBY COLEMAN

Russell, a content moderator at a major social media company, finds himself in a morally ambiguous position as he illicitly accesses users’ private videos and messages. His unauthorized surveillance not only jeopardizes his career and freedom but also puts the company’s reputation at risk. One fateful day, Russell stumbles upon a disturbing video depicting a violent kidnapping. The shocking footage leaves him deeply shaken and sets in motion a series of events that will irrevocably alter his life.

This tense narrative explores the ethical dilemmas faced by those tasked with policing online content, the psychological toll of exposure to disturbing material, and the consequences of crossing ethical boundaries in the digital age.

BOBBY COLEMAN

My journey began in a Chisinau, Moldova orphanage, where I resided before being adopted at 27 months by a family in Massachusetts. From a young age, my life has been filled with an endless stream of stories and ideas that have shaped who I am today. After graduating from Roger Williams University with a finance degree, I landed a job at The Boston Globe. However, I soon realized that my true passion lay in storytelling, prompting me to leave it all behind to pursue what I love.

I currently reside in Burbank, California, where I work as a Production Assistant and Producer on a variety of projects in the film industry. I’m dedicated to bringing my original stories to television screens around the world and aspire to help others achieve their storytelling dreams as well.

I am currently seeking work as Producer’s Assistant, Writer’s Assistant, or any other film production positions.
